Move like Jagger…in 10th anniversary Hudson campaign
Georgia May Jagger turns cabaret girl for Hudson’s 10th anniversary autumn / winter’12 campaign. There’s no can-can but the cabaret-inspired ads shot by Dan Martensen sees Jagger posing by a microphone wearing a bowler hat, waistcoat and of course, jeans.
The 20-year-old starlet, who is the daughter of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, 60, has fronted Hudson since 2009 and created a capsule collection for the brand in 2011. Clearly the fashion gene runs in the family with mother Jerry Hall, 56, being a former top model.
The brand’s latest four-piece denim line, entitled “Hudson Cabaret”, includes colour-blocked (“Leeloo”), skinny (“Juliette”), patterned (“Art Deco”) and flag-printed (“Abstract Flag”) styles. On top of that, stars such as girl band Au Revoir Simone and hip-hop artist and beatboxer Tez will feature as part of a wider campaign.
Hudson’s creative director and designer Ben Taverniti said of the campaign: “For us, it is this perpetual need for discovery and evolution that compels us to keep moving forward. From day to day, season to season, it is this physical, visual and spiritual journey that weaves throughout our lives and informs our work.”
