Bottled bliss
Aqua Di Parma’s latest fragrance carries a warm Mediterranean front

A dip into Capri’s culture of sun, sea and orange groves sounds like the perfect package right now. And I’m not about to say that a bottle of cologne can compare to a much-needed vacation. It doesn’t. But Acqua di Parma’s new Mediterranean-inspired Arancia di Capri (available May 15th) might be the thing that inspires me to book a flight. The press release states that the fragrance from the Blu Mediterraneo collection “conveys all the nuances of the isle of Capri in each of its notes”. Wishful thinking perhaps. What it actually translates into is a citrus top (orange, mandarin and lemon), a middle consisting of petit grain Cardamom for spice and a bottom of caramel and musk notes. It’s a warming fusion of ingredients and one that’s likely to go down well with any citrus fiends among you.
