One of the most appealing parts of the Valentino show currently up at Somerset House isn’t necessarily the gorgeously crafted, 130-plus dresses up on the top floor, but the meek, little correspondence cards on display downstairs. That’s mainly because this part of the exhibition makes you feel like you’re poking around through some celebrity’s text messages — only these notes are written on paper in ink.
