Anna Dello Russo for H&M
Anna dello Russo, the one-woman fashion week extravaganza is taking her über-glam, more-is-more aesthetic to the high street, designing a collection of accessories for H&M. It’s the first time that the Swedish-chain has collaborated with a fashion editor and a testament to how the Vogue Japan fashion director’s celebrity has grown beyond the bloggerati circuit, where she became famous for her multiple daily outfit changes and head to toe runway looks. “The collection is a celebration of excess, fantasy and decoration,” said H&M’s creative adviser Margareta van den Bosch before giving a sneak peek of the collection, which includes — surprise, surprise — lots of chunky gold in the form of bijoux jewellery and clutch bags in addition to bejewelled sunglasses. “With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day,” ADR adds. The Baroque goods will hit stores on October 4th, during the Paris runway shows — just in time to capitalise off of all those paparazzi shots of Dello Russo in full regalia that will be circulating on your favourite fashion blogs. Watch ADR talk about the collection here.
